Wall of Wonder is a collection of 27 interviews with contemporaneous influencers. The authors say the book is targeted for the K-12 audience. As an ‘older’ reader, I say the book is written in welcoming language. I am not a scientist but am drawn to the art and creative nature of scientists, the miracles of creating something where nothing had previously existed. This book does an incredible job of introducing its readers to living women who are changing our world by their labors. My favorite aspect of the book is the variety of backgrounds from which these women come, the challenges they faced and the ways in which they have succeeded. I recommend this book for any one, of any age or gender, who is interested in success, women, STEM or Cornell. In the name of transparency, I need to acknowledge that one of the phenomenal women highlighted in Wall of Wonder, is my very own sister, Prenthis Aguilar – also founder/creator of Lopolopo.
